  • Practice 7/22/14 MVACG has practice tomorrow - Tuesday, July 22 from 6:30-7:30 at Medlar View in the multi-purpose room down the hall from the gym.   You will be able to enter through the outside door.  MHS Pre-band camp will also be at Medlar View at the same time.  Forms given last week need to be filled out and returned ASAP. Return to forms to me.If you were not able to attend last week, I will meet with you and give you a MVACG parent information folder.If your child is unable to attend practice tomorrow, let me know so I can tell Cathy.Be Happy!

  • IRS 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Status!! The Miami Valley Adaptive Color Guard is now classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit public charity.   As such, the MVACG is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.   Furthermore, charitable contributions made to the MVACG are deductible under section 170 of the Code.  Although the IRS determination was made May 28th 2014, the effective date of exemption is August 1st 2013. Our 501(c)(3) exempt status is retroactive to the acceptance of our Articles of Incorporation with the State of Ohio.  As such, charitable contribution made to the guard after Aug 1st 2013 are tax deductible.
